Firm Partners

The two owners met back in 1997 while working on a project in their second year of architecture school studio class. Throughout the rigorous architecture curriculum, they grew to respect each other’s designs, work ethic, and drive. They studied in Rome together, traveled and sketched throughout Europe and the US, eventually married, and dreamed of one day opening their own business.

Upon graduating in 2001, with a desire to live in the Midwest, to live in a larger city, and to be surrounded by a thriving artistic community, Marcy and James made the leap of faith to move to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their dream became a reality in early 2009 when Conrad + Nutt Studio, Ltd. was established.
